relationships, if its possible (for me) to sustain a long-term one, and
how they work.
Even though I've never been in one, I'm guessing that "relationships" are
unions formed by two people (or, in some cases more) who have feelings
for each other, and decide to put their two separate lives
together...THIS is much easier said than done.
They say "Birds of a feather flock together."
I guess what I'm asking is...Can a hawk (or person) who's flown solo for
soooo long, be easily joined with a fellow hawk (or person)?
Odd realization...I can be a little bit of a Flirt! (LOL)

OMG we r so like twins right now... This is my take on it. It's not so much that It's hard to get a fellow hawk,it's actually getting the right hawk to be with. You don't want to get the crow disguised as a hawk, or the playa hawk that tries to "nest" all the other hawks, or the sprung hawk, who after two dates to the lake or the mountain, wants to move into your nest and lay eggs... so again it's not finding a hawk to be in relationship with that's hard... it's finding a hawk that's perfect for u so that u want to stay in a long term relationship with him and fly south for many years to come!!! (all this talk about birds has me hungry for chicken)
Shyyyyyyyyt, whether you are a 'Hawk' or a 'Hummingbird' it's hard to join with a fellow solo flyer. Fact is relationships take A LOT of patience (take it from someone who is in one and has VERY LITTLE PATIENCE and is somewhat SELFISH! LMAO). In any relationship you have to be able and willing to put someone elses needs before your own. As you have stated "easily said than done" but as feelings grow stronger, your apprehensions will dissipate.
Overall Roc, relationships are not a race to the finish. It's more like a marathon with hills and valleys. How you pace yourself will make all the difference with respect to it's failure or success!

It's so hard to compare any animals to human beings. From what we know, animals sole purpose for sex is to procreate. Every other moment in their lives are spent surviving. Human beings have it alot easier(depending on who you ask). But to answer your question, yes even the "hawk" will eventually come home to nest. But you should really be asking yourself :
1. Do you really want to be in a relationship and why?
2.Why are you single now? or What about the "solo" life has been appealing to you for so long?
Ok, I'm jumping off my "Dr. Phil Soapbox" now. I've said enough. I'm such a geek. lol
you can be paired. It just takes time to find the right bird to fly with.
it'll happen.
Me and Fuzzy will be together for 2 years now.
Did I just say that? wow 2 years?
The key to relationships is open and honest communication and have incredible fun!
Please have fun, lol.
